Install in five steps

  1. Older test build installed?

If an older test build signed with a different key is installed, uninstall it first: Android refuses an update signed by another certificate.

  2. Download

Tap the download button and accept the APK file.

  3. Allow the source

If Android asks, allow your browser to install apps (Settings › Apps › Special access).

  4. Install

Open the downloaded file and tap “Install”.

  5. Open TrueTake

On first launch, the app explains every permission: the camera is required, location and sensors are optional.

Requirements

  • Android 10 or later (API 29).
  • Two phones per capture: one displays, the other films. Roles are assigned automatically.
  • An internet connection on both phones.
  • A rear camera with autofocus on the phone that films.
